Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Please take a few moments to review the arrival and dismissal procedures for the school year.
Arrival
All buses will be unloaded on Walnut Street. Students will enter the building using the main entrance on the east side of the building.
All walkers and car riders will be dropped off on the north side of the building. Students will use the main entrance to enter the building (Door #1). Families will be able to stay in their vehicles and use the former “bus lane” to drop off students.
Dismissal
All buses will be loaded on Walnut Street.
All walkers will be dismissed out of the Kindergarten Hallway doors (Door #5). Students will use the sidewalk and crosswalk on Walnut Street to walk home.
*Please note this change for walker dismissal from previous years.
Car riders will be dismissed from the main entrance on the north side of the building (Door #1). Students will form a line on the sidewalk and be directed by staff to their vehicle.
We will utilize “zones” to load students who are in the car rider line. Students will only be loaded in cars that are in one of the designated zones. Once all of the cars are loaded, they will pull forward and the next group of cars will stop in designated zones.
Parents may choose to park in the parking lot and wait for students in one of the designated areas. Please see traffic map on the back for more detailed information.
*Students will not be allowed to walk in the parking lot without being supervised by the person picking them up. If you choose to park in the parking lot, please wait in one of the designated areas and then walk with your student to your vehicle.
General Reminders/Information
*Secondary drop off and/or pick up lines should not be formed in the parking lot. Only designated parking spots should be used by those walking up to pick up students.
When crossing from the parking lot to one of the designated waiting areas, please only cross using the designated crossing area.
The Walnut Street entrance may not be available until 8:30 or after 2:30 each day due to buses lining up to drop off or pick up students.
