3rd Graders have participated in many fun activities during the first two weeks of Summer Surge, including making toothpick and marshmallow towers, building LEGO/magnet mazes, and creating paper chains with only one piece of paper! We are so excited for Week 3!

4th grades STEM project this week was an egg drop! Students were only allowed to use straws, saran wrap, tape, and a little bubble wrap.
They did an awesome job and loved every second of it! 🤍🥳

Summer Surge Fun

Judith Giacoma Elementary, the Westville School District, and the greater Westville Community, tragically lost a valued and loved person last summer with the passing of Lori Blankenship. Lori always had a way of making connections with students, families, and staff members. She made everyone feel loved and appreciated. To honor her memory, a memorial bench and plaque will reside at Giacoma to ensure future students, families, and staff will have an opportunity to remember what a positive impact she had on our school, district, and community. Pictured are her daughter, Tori, and granddaughter, Kiptin. We are all lucky and blessed to have known Lori!

Today, May 31st, is an early dismissal at all 3 buildings. Westville High School and Junior High will dismiss at 11:20 and Judith Giacoma will dismiss at 11:55. We hope you all have a fantastic and safe summer!
