For the WJHS basketball game on 12/6 vs. Bismarck - free entry with a canned food item. Canned food items collected will be donated to the Westville American Legion Post for their Christmas Baskets.

WJHS will be having a food drive competition the week of December 5 - 9. The competition will be 7th grade vs. 8th grade to see who can bring in the most non-perishable food items. The food will be donated to the Westville American Legion Post 51 for their Christmas baskets. The winning class will be rewarded with a pizza party on Friday December 16th.

Congratulations to the WJHS Student Council for winning first place in the Middle School division at the 2022 Festival of Trees.

WJHS Staff will be competing in a pumpkin decorating contest on Monday, Oct. 31. Students will decide the winner by voting for their favorite with their change. The pumpkin with the most money will be the winner. All proceeds will go to the backpack program.

Retake Picture Day at WJHS is 11/1/22! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 73124NF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.

There will be an open gym for any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in trying out for basketball on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Giacoma from 3:00 - 4:30. Tryouts will be on Monday Oct. 17 & Tuesday Oct. 18 from 5:00 - 7:00 at Giacoma. Basketball players must be at both nights of tryouts.

Reminder that the 8th grade DC trip agreement and $100 per participant deposit are due tomorrow (Oct. 12) in order to go on the trip. If you have any questions, please call the school office.
