It was a busy day for the high school band yesterday. Jazz band met at 7 am to work on christmas music, and the marching band was outside at 8 am to prepare for tonight's senior night show.
The WHS Tigers Golf team competed at Regionals at Danville Country Club today and battled through a tough course.
They played well today but unfortunately none of them were able to advance to Sectionals. With this, the Tigers season is complete.
The Tigers golf team is young and the future looks bright! Keep up the hard work and good things will come!

The WHS Lady Tigers Golf team competed in Regionals today over in Savoy at the U of I Blue Course.
The wind caused some problems but ended up being a beautiful day on the course.
There was some really good goof coming from the Lady Tigers but unfortunately their season has come to an end. None of the competing Lady Tigers were able to advance to Sectionals but battled all day.
These four ladies competed well all season and finished strong at the end. Couldn't be more proud of all the work these ladies put in this year.
Thank you to the two Seniors on the team for all the work they have put in. Congrats on a great season.

The WHS Men's and Women's Golf team competed yesterday at the VVC Tournament at Harrison Park GC.
There were a ton of great things done by both of these groups!
The day was started by a Hole in One by Kiptyn Appl on Hole 6. This helped lead him to his career low round.
We had multiple players have a career day whether that's on 18 or just nine holes.
The day was capped by both teams finishing 4th in their side.
WHS had two golfers make the All-Conference team. For the boys, it was Kiptyn Appl and for the girls, it was Piper Heiser!
Congratulations to the both of you!
Both teams will compete next week in Regionals with the girls on Tuesday and Boys on Wednesday!
The WHS Boys Golf match at Turtle Run vs BHRA and Oakwood has been Cancelled due to weather.
There will be no makeup.

GRHS/WHS soccer practice will begin Monday August 12th from 4:30-6:30 at Georgetown High School. Any WHS student needing a ride to practice will need to report to WHS at 4:10 for the bus to take you to Georgetown. When practice concludes the bus will bring you back to WHS.
